Which institution does this guide cover?

Modern Education Society’s Wadia College of Engineering is listed as autonomous and SPPU-affiliated under CET Cell code 06281. Its campus is at 19, Late Prin. V. K. Joag Path, near Pune station. The institution’s website uses MESCOE as well as MES Wadia naming; neither refers to PES Modern code 06139.

Eligibility and admission process

For the usual first-year PCM route in the 2026–27 state brochure, Maharashtra candidates need Physics and Mathematics with an allowed third subject, 45% in the specified subject group (40% for eligible Maharashtra reserved/EWS/PwD candidates), and a non-zero PCM MHT-CET score. All India candidature has separate rules and gives preference to a positive JEE Main score. These eligibility conditions do not guarantee allotment.

The standard first-year engineering programme is four years. Diploma/lateral-entry applicants must use the separate direct-second-year process; the first-year intake and cutoff tables below do not describe DSE seats.

1. Register for the relevant CET Cell admission process and complete document scrutiny.
2. Check the final merit status, candidature and eligible seat categories.
3. Enter exact branch choice codes in your preferred order.
4. Follow the applicable round’s acceptance and reporting rules after allotment.
5. Use a separate institute notification for any authorised Institute Level or against-CAP-vacancy process; an enquiry is not an allotment.

As checked on 30 September 2026, the official 2026–27 engineering portal says admissions are closed. The figures here are reference data for that session, not a claim that applications or seats are currently available.

Fees: session, category and inclusions

Page 3 of the official 2026–27 first-year fee PDF lists the same tuition/development total for Open students passing Class 12 in Maharashtra and outside Maharashtra. This two-component table does not establish hostel, mess, deposit or all other charges as included. Scholarship-category rows are conditional on the applicable documents and scheme approval.

Hostel and mess

MES describes shared boys’ and girls’ hostels within Wadia College Campus for students of its constituent colleges, with separate common facilities. This is not capacity reserved only for engineering students. The hostel page also uses prospective wording about mess provision, so meal availability and inclusion need written confirmation. A current room tariff and allotment are not established here.

Cutoffs and how to read them

These are 2026–27 CAP Round I, Stage I historical results for Maharashtra seats. GOPENS means General Open, State Level. The rank is the Maharashtra State General Merit Number; the bracketed score is the merit percentile, not raw marks or JEE All India Rank.

This is one consistently labelled comparison slice, not every category or every round. Other categories, All India seats and later rounds can differ. Use the full official PDF for your exact seat type; a previous closing score is not a forecast or admission assurance.

Curriculum and campus comparison

The 2026–27 record lists Computer Engineering, E&TC, Mechanical Engineering and Automation & Robotics. Automation & Robotics is a separate option with a 60-seat listed intake, not a specialisation that can be assumed inside every Mechanical seat. Its Wadia-campus location and shared residence arrangements should be assessed alongside the branch choice.

For a useful department visit, ask to see the current semester syllabus, compulsory laboratory timetable, final-year project examples and internship assessment rules. Compare the proportion of core subjects with elective or specialisation modules. Hostel access, workshop access and placement eligibility are different entitlements; get the terms for your own programme.

No current blanket accreditation grade or “all branches NBA accredited” claim is made here. Accreditation has a programme and validity period; it should be matched to the admission year using the actual certificate.

Placement evidence and reporting scope

The engineering college’s placement section separates internship lists from campus placement data and provides annual report links, including 2024–25. Internship participation cannot be counted as full-time placement. This guide does not publish an unverified branch median or placement rate, nor use outcomes from other MES colleges on the shared campus.
